The Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology offers a comprehensive range of services, including:

Immunodeficiency Treatment

Individuals with a primary immunodeficiency often are more susceptible to infections, have difficulty treating them and have more recurrences. Others have symptoms that affect the nervous system, heart or digestive system. Many of the diseases associated with primary immune deficiency can be diagnosed in infancy or childhood. Primary immune deficiencies are caused by inherited genetic mutations; while acquired or secondary immune deficiencies result from such outside factors as viruses or immune-suppressing drugs.

In addition to providing specialized medical care, the division offers patients and their families educational resources to help manage primary immune deficiency. Services include:
