About Me

I am a minimally invasive, general surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in treating conditions such as abdominal wall and groin hernias, gallbladder problems, heartburn and diverticulitis. I am trained in using the latest technology on the Davinci robotic platform as well as laparoscopic and open approaches.

Like many physicians, I was drawn to a career in medicine because I enjoy helping others. I completed my general surgery residency in a busy urban trauma center where I learned about a wide variety of complex conditions. As surgeons, we are blessed with the ability to heal patients with our own hands, which is very gratifying. It is amazing how far medicine and surgery have come.

I love surgery because we are often able to treat patients in their time of need and make them feel better immediately. Whether the patient is diagnosed with a bad gallbladder or hernia, I will fix the problem and get the patient back to the things they enjoy doing. It is incredible to see a patient smiling and walking out of the hospital after suffering from a serious infection or problem that we were able to treat.

In addition to providing individualized patient care, I am also an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and produce video presentations that describe new approaches and ideas at the annual international conference.
